Premier League Predictions For Matchday 32

Arsenal know that this is a must-win match at the Emirates Stadium this weekend. Their 2-2 draw with West Ham followed their draw with Liverpool by the same scoreline, with this allowing Manchester City to move to within four points of the league leaders. The Gunners have been superb this season, but they need to dig deep in this one, with dropping points against the bottom side in the league not an option. 

Southampton are now four points short of Everton in 17th with just seven matches of the season left to come. Their home loss to fellow strugglers Crystal Palace last week saw Palace enhance their survival hopes, while it left the Saints in an even bigger hole. With the Gunners looking for a punching bag as they try to rekindle their form, the Saints could be in trouble here. 

Fulham finally got back to winning ways last weekend in their 3-1 win over Everton. With the Toffees in desperate need of win and points, this was actually quite and impressive win for the London side. Now, they can bring their focus back onto picking up as many points as possible from their final eight games. While the European places are likely beyond them now, a top-eight finish could be within reach. 

Leeds were humiliated in their clash with Liverpool at Elland Road as they were beaten 6-1 by their inconsistent opponents. This, alongside a devastating 5-1 loss to Crystal Palace the week before has seen Leeds ship 11 goals in two games, while they are now just two points clear of the bottom-three. A win is vital for the travelling side, but judging on past performances, they will likely struggle. 

Brentford have found things tough of late, with the side now without a win in their last five. Of course, for a side that were targeting survival earlier in the season, passing the 40-point mark was always likely to see the team tail off. With the European places now 10 points clear of Brentford, they will need to dig deep to find something to really motivate them. 

For Aston Villa, an unlikely place in the Europa League and a top-five finish is in reach. Villa easily beat Newcastle 3-0 at Villa Park last weekend, and this saw them move to within two points of Tottenham in fifth. With Spurs struggling massively and heading to face Newcastle at St James' Park this weekend, Villa could find themselves in the top-five if results go their way. 

Have Liverpool started a late burst that could see them finish in the European places for next season? Their stunning 6-1 win over Leeds at Elland Road saw Jurgen Klopp's men completely outclass their opponents. The Reds are now six points behind Tottenham in fifth, meaning a win in this one coupled with a loss for Tottenham in their trip to Newcastle could see Liverpool move to within three points of fifth. After what has been a tough season for the Reds, finishing in the European places would be a welcomed surprise. 

Nottingham Forest are struggling to keep their heads above water this season, with the side currently sitting in the relegation zone. Forest are only below Everton by virtue of an inferior goal difference, but come the final day, their tally, which currently stands at -32, could be telling. Liverpool have not been great this season, but Forest will worry about this one getting ugly if they do not stay focussed.

What a game we have in store this weekend, with fourth-placed Newcastle hosting fifth-placed Tottenham. Last weekend, Newcastle were blown away by Aston Villa in a 3-0 loss that saw Tottenham stay in contention for a Champions League spot. The Magpies currently sit three points clear of Spurs with a game in hand, meaning that a win in this match would see Newcastle move six points clear with a game in hand at this late stage of the season.

For Tottenham, they are still involved in the race for a top-four spot by the skin of their teeth. They were woeful in their 3-2 home defeat to relegation threatened Bournemouth, with Spurs unable to put away a side they simply had to beat. A win here would see them move level on points with Newcastle having played a game more, with this piling the pressure on their hosts. Despite this, Newcastle are fancied to win this one, with their home form (eight wins, five draws and one loss in 14) very impressive.
