NCAA Football Predictions for October 1-2

Michigan have been absolutely fantastic this season, winning all four games and scoring over 50 points in three of them. Although Iowa’s defence has been superb so far this season, going against this Wolverines team will likely be too much for the Hawkeyes.

Kentucky have started the season with four straight victories and although Ole Miss are favoured in the betting, the Wildcats look great value to secure the upset over a Rebels team that didn’t look overly convincing against Tulsa last week.

The Oklahoma Sooners slipped to defeat against Kansas State last week but that should serve as motivation for them to bounce back this week. Oklahoma’s offense have been strong as usual and should see them outscore TCU.

Oregon State have made a solid start to this season, winning three of their four games. Although Utah look to be too strong and should win this game, don’t discount the Beavers from at least pushing them close and keeping the scores within a touchdown.

Wake Forest were on the wrong end of a shootout with Clemson last week, losing 51-45 in overtime. However, the Demon Deacons have looked strong this season and should have what it takes to push Florida State all the way. It feels like the wrong team is favoured in this game.

Ohio State and in particular their quarterback CJ Stroud have been playing unbelievable football this season, routinely destroying their opponents. While Rutgers’ defence have been in good form, this game should ultimately turn into a comfortable win for the Buckeyes.

Both Oklahoma State and Baylor have made strong starts to the season and this game looks likely to go down to the wire. With that in mind, there could be value in siding with the Cowboys, who look every bit as dangerous as the Bears.

Besides their narrow 20-19 victory over Texas, Alabama have won their other three games by a combined score of 173-10. Simply put, the Crimson Tide are untouchable right now and there is no reason to think that Arkansas will be able to stop them.

This is a battle between two undefeated teams and although NC State have been a bit of a surprise package so far, they should be brought back down to earth by Clemson. The Tigers needed overtime to beat Wake Forest last week and that scare should have them fully focused on winning this game in solid fashion.

Georgia’s offense have been dominant while their defence continues to play at an elite level. The reigning national champions are making a strong bid to repeat their success this year, and there is little reason to think they won’t continue their dominance against Missouri.
