FA Cup Final Tips

Manchester United arrive with four 3-1 wins in their five FA Cup matches. Victories over Everton, Reading, West Ham and Fulham were fairly regulation, and this led into a tough clash with Brighton.

The Premier League surprise packages pushed United all the way and, while they lost on penalties, many questioned whether they deserved to lose the game. Ultimately, United were the side that progressed, and that is all that matters.

Now, United come into this one as big underdogs. While this can often prove the thorn in the side of the favourites as they arrive with so much pressure on them, City are so good that it is unlikely they will feel the pressure all that much.

United will have to find a way to stifle the creative outlets that are Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish. Meanwhile, Erling Haaland will want to have his say in a major English final, so United will have to be on their toes throughout.

Having beaten Newcastle in the EFL Cup final earlier in the season, United have previous of winning cup finals. However, while Newcastle are good, City are on a completely different level.

For the Premier League champions, this is their chance to snare the second trophy in a potential treble this season. City are yet to concede a goal this year, having beaten Chelsea (4-0), Arsenal (1-0), Bristol City (3-0), Burnley (6-0) and Sheffield United (3-0).

City have been lauded for their attacking ability and creativity, but they have been just as miserly in defence, winning their five FA Cup games by an aggregate score of 17-0.

If both sides arrive and play their best football, then City will still win. They are the best team in club football right now and look good for the second part of what could be an historic treble this year.
