UEFA Euro 2024 is fast approaching, with the biggest competition for international European  teams promising yet another festival of football.

Bookmaker Pinnacle are currently offering a number of betting markets ahead of the tournament, with the winner of each group available to bet on. With this in mind, Germany are Group A's favourites at 1.49 with Pinnacle, but are they the side to back?

Germany come into the competition among the favourites to lift the trophy this summer. They are priced at 1.49 with Pinnacle to get off to the perfect start and to top Group A.

In what is a tough group. Switzerland are next at 6.02, with Hungary (7.52) and Scotland (9.00) also in contention.

Switzerland have been tough to beat in international tournaments, with the side boasting some serious talent along with an ability to keep big tournament games tight.

Hungary may arrive as third-favourites to top the group, but they have already shown that they are more than good enough to win big games. They finished in second in Nations League A Group 3 as they won three of their six matches against the likes of Italy, Germany and England, beating the latter home and away.

For Scotland, this looks like a real long-shot against some very good sides. While they will try to be tough to beat as they look to secure some big results, it is tough to see them getting the necessary points against the likes of Germany and co to see them top the group.

For the Germans, this is a case of holding their nerve and letting their talent do the talking. After struggling at recent major tournaments, this could be the competition in which the German national team announce themselves on the biggest stage once again.

Which side do you think will top Group A at Euro 2024? Can Germany go through at the summit, or will another nation stun them and pip them to the top of the group this summer?
