Portugal arrive for Euro 2024 as one of the favourites to secure the trophy in Germany this summer.

However, ahead of the tournament, bookmaker Pinnacle have made them more likely to miss out on the semi-finals of the competition in their Euro 2024 betting market.

Portugal sit in Group F alongside Turkey, Georgia and the Czech Republic in a pool that is far from simple, but they will back themselves to come out on top in.

Indeed, Pinnacle agree with this sentiment, with Portugal priced at 1.04 to progress from Group F, while they are a massive 16.00 to fail to qualify for the knockout stages.

They are also fancied to make it to the quarter-final stage too, priced at 1.49, while a the quarter-finals being played without Portugal can be backed at 2.73.

However, the semi-finals may be beyond Portugal if the odds are to be believed. Portugal are 1.68 to fail to make the semi-finals, while they are 2.25 to battle to the last-four.

Portugal last tasted success in the Euros back in 2016. Portugal lifted the trophy following a win in extra-time over France.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who was the man to lift the trophy back in 2016, will once again return as he looks to secure another major international trophy.

Ronaldo's exploits will be key for Portugal. If their talisman gets off on the right foot and starts scoring goals, Portugal have every chance of winning the tournament. Ronaldo has been in fine form in Saudi Arabia this season, scoring 35 goals and ending the season as the top scorer.

While the quality of opposition will go up, Ronaldo will know that he has all of the attributes needed to star once again.

Of course, Ronaldo will be key, but he is backed up by a cast of world class players that will all be desperate to put their own stamp on the tournament this year.

Can Portugal win Euro 2024, or will they fall before the semi-finals as the odds suggest they will?
