Real Madrid the favourites to lift the trophy in Pinnacle's Champions League Winner market

According to bookmaker Pinnacle, Real Madrid are the team to back at 1.32 in their 'to win the final' market, but are they the side you should wager on? 

Real Madrid come into the 2023/24 Champions League final as the team to back. The Spanish side are available at 1.32 heading into the showpiece event, with the La Liga outfit in scintillating form so far. 

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund can be backed at 3.54, with some clear daylight between the two sides in the betting. 

Heading into the final, few would argue that Real Madrid deserve to be one of the final two left battling for the trophy. 

Real had to defeat reigning European champions Manchester City as they knocked their opponents out on penalties. They then beat last season's Bundesliga champions Bayer Munich over two-legs as they score two goals in the dying embers of the second-leg to go through 4-3 on aggregate. 

Real have continually made a point out of coming back from the dead. They were on the ropes against City and held on to force penalties, while they thrilled their fans in an exhilarating show against Bayern. While many will say City should have beaten Real, all that matters is that Real will be playing in yet another European final this week. 

For Borussia Dortmund, this run has been about building momentum. Topping a group that contained PSG, Newcastle and AC Milan was impressive, and they have since beaten PSV, Atletico Madrid and PSG on their way to the final. 

While Borussia Dortmund are the underdogs heading into this one, they are well and truly in the mix to lift the trophy. If Dortmund are to lift the trophy then they will need a lot of factors to go their way. However, finals do not always go by the script, meaning anything could happen.
