The Men's French Open will see the best players in the men's side of the game come together as they try to get their hands on the second Grand Slam crown of the year.

Heading into the competition, Carlos Alcaraz is the favourite to secure the trophy, but he is actually favoured to miss out on winning the tournament according to Pinnacle

Carlos Alcaraz may be the favourite to win the French Open, but in Pinnacle's 'Will Carlos Alcaraz Win ATP French Open?', the current favourite is 'No', which is priced at 1.31. 'Yes' can be backed at 3.54 ahead of the second Slam of the year.

This comes despite Alcaraz establishing himself as the most likely winner of the Slams outside of Novak Djokovic. Djokovic will be bidding to secure his 25th Grand Slam crown, while he is also looking to defend the French Open crown that he secured in 2023.

While there are a huge number of very impressive players turning out at the French Open, the likely reason behind 'Yes' not being favoured in this market is Djokovic. Similarly, 'Yes' not being the favourites in Djokovic's version of this market is likely due to Alcaraz.

The pair have been locked in a number of interesting duels in recent years, with Alcaraz challenging and even beating Djokovic in a number of meetings. Indeed, Djokovic has the advantage in their head-to-head at 3-2.

Another worry for both Alcaraz and Djokovic will be the exploits of Rafael Nadal. The Spaniard is edging towards his last few professional outings, and he will want nothing more than to end his final French Open outing with the trophy.

The home fans will want to see a festival of the best tennis across May and June, but most will only want to see Nadal win one more time. The Spaniard has given everything to the game of tennis across his career, and few would begrudge him securing his 15th French Open crown and 23rd Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.

Who do you think will win the 2024 French Open? Will Carlos Alcaraz secure the title, or will Djokovic, Nadal et al stop him?
