- Norwich City and West Brom are the underdogs but the unpredictable nature of the Championship makes all possibilities open.

The English Championship is now at the business end of proceedings, with the most competitive second division in football continuing to provide the thrills and spills we have come to expect from the tournament.
With the Play-Offs upon us, bookmaker Pinnacle have made Leeds United the side to back at 2.55, but are they the side to back after a late-season wobble?
Championship Play-Off Winner | Odds |
---|---|
Leeds United | 2.55 |
Southampton | 2.70 |
Norwich City | 6.50 |
West Brom | 6.50 |
Leeds United may be the favourites in Pinnacle's Champions Promotion winner, with the side priced at 2.55. However, they have not been at their best as the season has edged towards its finale, with the side losing two on the bounce to see their hopes of clinching automatic promotion to the Premier League dashed.
Southampton are currently right behind Leeds at 2.70, and they will be very confident that they can usurp the favourites after defeating them 2-1 in front of their own fans on the final day.
Meanwhile, Norwich City and West Brom are both priced at 6.50 to secure promotion. While they are the underdogs heading into the Play-Offs, anything can happen across the final cluster of matches this season.
In the first semi-final, Norwich will host Leeds before West Brom take on Southampton. The matches are then flipped, with Leeds hosting Norwich before Southampton welcome West Brom to St Mary's.
While these games are incredibly tough to call, Leeds and Southampton are the favourites for a reason. Leeds picked up 90 points in the regular season while Southampton notched 87 points. Meanwhile, West Brom picked up 75 points with Norwich taking 73.
Clearly, there is a large gulf in how the seasons of the four have gone. While the odds and their positions in the table suggest Leeds and Southampton should be the sides at Wembley in the final, the Championship rarely goes by the script.
Which side do you think will secure promotion to the Premier League this season? Can Leeds hold their nerve and go through with Leicester and Ipswich, or will another of the sides secure the biggest prize in English football and a place in the Premier League?
