How To Bet On KBO Baseball

Money Lines - Otherwise known as the match winner market, this betting market will ask bettors to wager on the side that wins the match. Which Teams Play In The KBO?

There are a total of 10 teams in the KBO, and they are:

Hanwha Eagles
Kia Tigers

NC Dinos

SSG Landers

The Doosan Bears, Kia Tigers, LG Twins and Samsung Lions are the oldest sides in the competition, having been founded in 1982 and joining the KBO in the same year.

The Hyundai Unicorns were also founded in 1982, but they ceased playing in 2008. The Ssanbangwool Raiders are the only other defunct side, being founded in 1990 and ceasing playing in 1999.

The side with the biggest stadium are the Doosan Bears and LG Twins with their stadium holding 25,000 fans.

KBO Baseball History

The KBO was created back in 1982 with a total of six franchises at the heart of the competition. There are currently 10 franchises playing in the KBO, with these sides including:

Meanwhile, the Hyundai Unicorns and Ssangbangwool Raiders are defunct as of 2008 and 1999 respectively.

The Kia Tigers are the most successful side in the history of the competition, winning a total of 10 titles.

The regular season sees each team playing a total of 144 matches, with each side playing every other team 16 times. Teams generally play six games a week, with Mondays off.

The KBO post-season sees the Championship Series played. The top five sides qualify for the post-season based on their win-loss record. The lowest placed sides play in a play-off system with each winner then facing the next highest team, with the Korean Series seeing the last team left standing having the chance to face the top-ranked team.
